Who they are
The Drin are a six-piece from Cincinnati, Ohio. The group began as the solo outlet of Dylan McCartney, now a guitarist and vocalist in the band. The current lineup lists Eric Dietrich, Dylan McCartney, Dakota Carlyle, Ryan Sennett, Luke Cornett and Cole Gilfilen. Their sound moves through post-punk, jangly psychedelia and kosmische grooves, with spoken-word vocals placed against synths and bass-led rhythms. Bandcamp tags on the album page add rock, electronic, experimental and punk. Post-Trash called the band innovators of Midwestern punk in a 2023 premiere. That writeup noted a blend of synth punk, krautrock and icy psych.
Discography
The Bandcamp discography opens with Termination Dust: A Compilation from March 2020. Far Out Kicking followed in August 2020. Engines Sing for the Pale Moon arrived in March 2021, and Down River In the Distance came in September 2022. Those early records appeared through Drunken Sailor Records, which also lists both albums on its own Bandcamp. The LP behind the Venom single came out in January 2023. The 37 Buried At Helltown EP followed in November 2023. Elude the Torch arrived in June 2024. For Those Not Here was released in October 2025, and The Pigs of Silver Linings came out in May 2026.

Feel It Records is an independent label and record shop at 356 Ludlow Avenue in Cincinnati. The label’s roster includes Sweeping Promises, Smirk, Crime of Passing and Vacation, all listed on its Bandcamp page. Drunken Sailor Records carried the band’s first two LPs in Europe. Its catalogue also lists the 2023 Venom LP, with Future Shock named as a co-release. The new album sits on the Feel It slate between Odor Eater’s July EP and September’s Loose Lips single.

The fourth LP is due September 18, 2026 on Feel It Records. The title is a six-word phrase about losing the way for centuries. The preorder page lists 23 track titles across about an hour of music. The sequence opens with The Sky Has Lost the Smile. Track 23 closes the record and asks to be called on in some time. Track 3 is Moths to the Light. Track 8 is Come and See V3. Track 18 is the title song. A saxophone runs through the record, alongside bass, drums, keys, guitars, reeds and a bouzouki. The credits state the album was recorded in an attic in the village. The band handled the engineering, and track 16 was cut at Cole’s place. Matthew J Barnhart mastered it, and Thomas Wagster made the artwork. Jamie Morrison played bass and sang on track 7. Rosie Bentley sings on track 12. Formats include a black vinyl double LP in a matte gatefold jacket. A digipak CD adds four bonus tracks and a digital edition runs in 24-bit audio. The CD runs one hour fifteen minutes. Preorders are open at 27.99 dollars for the vinyl and 14.99 dollars for the CD.
