Who they are

Ruckus are a garage punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, with New York connections. The Drunken Sailor press text places the band “Boston via New York”. Under The Gun Records calls the group a New York street rock and roll supergroup. Kam Lindsey writes the vocals and lyrics. He previously played in oi band The Stance. Drummer Alex Palazzo and rhythm guitarist Brian Crozier are former members of The New York Hounds. Bassist Mario DaCosta completes the rhythm section. Lead guitars are split between Nick Norrman of Ingrates and Ethan Stahl of The Prize and Loose Lips. No Echo notes that members played on the God Bless the NY Hounds LP and Vanity’s first LP. DaCosta has also filled in with Loosey.

Discography

The band first appeared on a two-song tape. No Echo covered that tape a couple of years before the LP. The ST 12-inch is the debut record. Six songs run 18:39 in total:

Drunken Sailor Records puts out the record in the United Kingdom and Europe. The catalogue number is DrunkenSailor 200. Under The Gun Records, based in East Los Angeles, handles the American pressing. Will Fitzpatrick wrote the press text for the label. ST 12-inch

The ST 12-inch was released on August 14, 2026. The Drunken Sailor shop lists a pressing of 100 white and 200 black copies. Both colours cost 18 pounds. The American pressing is black vinyl at 20 dollars and includes a lyric sheet. The press text frames the record as The Boys arriving in Boston in 1981. It follows the release of Gang Green’s Another Wasted Night. No Echo calls the record street rock and roll with a 1970s Stones vibe and New York Dolls swagger. Johnny Thunders-style leads run through the songs. The review calls the music tough, stripped-down urban rock with melodic flourishes. All six tracks sit under five minutes. Sick Of Love and Night Cruisin’ pass the four minute mark.
